POKÉMON ARENA 2DBeta status

Empress: Pokemon 2D Arena, the other game with almost the same name

Last checked 2026-10-23. Facts below cite a source.

Empress: Pokemon 2D Arena is a game by Omniscye, also credited as Omniscye/Empress. I read the itch.io page on 23 Oct 2026. The devlog that day was “2.1.1 - THE LANGUAGE UPDATE,” posted after 2.1 and 2.0. The page body still mentioned version 2.0 in places. I am using the devlog as the version, and I will not pretend I listed every language in that update. The notes did not spell the list out in the text I captured.

Figures are the itch.io page’s own claims unless noted. Checked 23 Oct 2026.

Side by side with Big Kid Nation

Big Kid Nation’s Pokémon Arena 2D is not released, has no file, and has not named a platform. Empress is installed software with a version number. Sharing a search phrase does not make one an early build of the other.

APKPure’s listing titled “Pokémon Arena 2D 1.7.7” (258.1 MB, 20 Oct 2026) uses the package com.empress.pokemon.arena. That listing version is older than itch.io’s 2.1.1 page entry. I have not inspected the binary signature or certified its safety.

I did not install Empress. The numbers above are what the itch.io page and the store title showed when I read them. If you pay, you are paying Omniscye’s name-your-price field, not Big Kid Nation.

Another Big Kid Nation preview. Empress screenshots stay on the itch.io page; this site does not rehost that APK. Screenshot: Big Kid Nation, bigkidnation.com, checked 23 Oct 2026.

Questions

Is Empress the Big Kid Nation game?

No. Different developer, different build, already released. Big Kid Nation’s project has no download and a December 2026 public beta.

Is the APK safe?

I cannot say. The listing title shows package com.empress.pokemon.arena at version 1.7.7, while itch.io showed 2.1.1 on 23 Oct 2026. I did not inspect the file signature. Use the itch.io page if you want Omniscye’s copy.

How is it different?

Empress lists Windows and Android, name your own price, a self-reported 1,000+ Pokémon and forms, and 293 moves. Big Kid Nation has not published a roster size or a platform.
