POKÉMON ARENA 2DBeta status

Disambiguation

Which Pokemon Arena 2D is which?

Last checked 2026-10-23. Facts below cite a source.

At least five playable or announced builds use “Pokemon Arena” or “Pokemon Arena 2D.” They do not share a developer, a roster, or a release state. I lined up the developer pages on 23 Oct 2026 so the counts stay attached to the right name.

If you saw “Big Kid Nation,” you want row A. An APK is row B. A browser tab with 24 creatures and Q/E to switch is row C1. A browser room with mouse aim and R to switch is row C2. A match-3 and auto-battle page that says 700+ is row D.

Self-reported counts are marked. Checked 23 Oct 2026.

A. Big Kid Nation

This is the project behind the search spike. The site calls it real-time arena battles in pixel art, two years in the making, and free to play. It is not released. The roster is a vote: each round’s champion is confirmed for the beta. As of 23 Oct 2026 the confirmed champions I could see were Greninja and Charizard. There is no APK.

B. Empress

Omniscye ships a different game on itch.io. On 23 Oct 2026 the devlog said 2.1.1, “THE LANGUAGE UPDATE,” after 2.1 and 2.0 the same day or the day before. The page claims 1,000+ Pokémon and forms, 293 moves, Windows and Android, and name your own price. It is not an early build of row A.

C1 and C2, two browser builds

pokemonarena2d.online describes 24 creatures, 57 moves, 6 arenas, a story of 8 gyms, and Q/E to switch. pokemonarena2d.app embeds that same game. I am not treating .app as a sixth product.

poke2darena.com is a separate 3v3 with mouse aiming, R to switch, online rooms, and no story mode. Writing one “browser version” mixes the controls.

D. eggieflip

eggieflip’s Pokémon Arena drops the “2D.” It is not a real-time fight. You draft 6 types out of 12, leave one special, and blades auto-battle. The page also has betting, a match-3 corner, and a safari. The page says 700+ Pokémon; a 19 Jun 2026 devlog says 718.

Several search results use similar names while referring to different games and release states. Compare the developer and the specific page before treating a playable build as the Big Kid Nation beta.

Questions

I installed an APK. Is that Big Kid Nation?

The checked APKPure entry maps package com.empress.pokemon.arena to Empress by Omniscye. Big Kid Nation has no official download; an unknown APK is not identified by its title alone.

I am in a browser with 24 creatures. Is that the beta?

No. That count matches pokemonarena2d.online, a separate browser game. The December 2026 beta is not live.

Why do pages say 24, 718, and 1,000+?

Those numbers belong to different games, and the larger ones are self-reported. Always attach the number to the developer.
